Brandon Knight Bio

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard led the Pine Crest School(Ft. Lauderdale, FL) Panthers (25-5) to the Class 3A state title game during the 2009-2010 season.

Brandon averaged 31.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting at 82.4 percent from the free throw line.

Knight was selected as the 2008-09 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

Brandon Knight is a 2010 McDonald’s All-American and 2010 Jordan Brand Classic All-American.

Brandon hit the Game winning shoot in the 2010 McDonald’s All-American game leading the West team to a 107-104 over the East team.

He is also a member of the 2010 USA Basketball Junior Select National Team and was a 2010 Naismith Award finalist.

Knight finished his prep career ranked second on Florida’s all-time scoring list with 3,515 points and is the first-ever four-time Class 3A-2A-1A Player of the Year as named by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

He led Pine Crest School to four state title games, helping to capture back-to-back crowns in 2008 and 2009.

Brandon chose the University of Kentucky as his college choice.

He led the Wildcats to the 2010-2011 Final Four in Houston after hitting some big shots in the NCAA Tournament.

Knight is averaging 17.3 points and 4.1 assists his Freshman year.

Brandon was picked #8 in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons.
